One Is Illegal Ottawa, on unceded Algonquin territory - NOII Ottawa
condemns and calls for an immediate end for the ongoing attacks against
the people of Palestine by the Israeli forces. As
a migrant justice organization, we affirm our solidarity with all
peoples opposing policies of occupation, exploitation, and displacement
from Turtle Island to Palestine. We call for an immediate end to the
Israeli occupation of all Palestinian territories, and the system of
apartheid that characterizes daily life in Palestine. We denounce
Canada’s complicity in the killing and occupation of the Palestinian
people.
We see our struggles for migrant justice and against ongoing colonization on Turtle Island, as deeply interconnected with the struggles for freedom in Gaza. We urge all people to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, denounce Canada's complicity in Israeli apartheid, and support local initiatives for a boycott, divestment and sanctions. We demand the right to freedom of movement of the Palestinian people, the right to stay and the right of return. We envision a world free from oppression, where all life is valued, and people can move freely in order to live with justice, dignity, and self-determination.

We urge folks to take action in solidarity with the Palestinian people:
- escalate the campaign of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israeli Apartheid.
- protest, attend events and demonstrations in your community in support of Gaza.
- spread the word of what is going on in Gaza using trustworthy news sources and social media from Palestinian people themselves, such as Al Jazeera, Palestine Chronicle, Electronic Intifada, and others.
